Industry intelligence is broken

Getting a clear picture of any industry is harder than it should be.

Fragmented and expensive

Authoritative industry reports cost thousands of dollars, arrive as static PDFs, and are updated infrequently. Cross-sector comparison is nearly impossible.

Risk exists in silos

Financial risk, ESG exposure, digital vulnerability, and geopolitical pressure are covered by different sources with no common language or framework.

Frameworks without context

SWOT, Porter's 5 Forces, PESTEL — everyone knows the frameworks, but applying them to a specific industry from scratch takes days of research.

Everything you need, pre-built

Four integrated layers of industry intelligence — structured, linked, and ready to use.

Industry Scorecards

Every industry profile scores 81 GTIAS attributes across 11 strategic pillars — from market dynamics and regulatory pressure to supply chain resilience and digital maturity.

The GTIAS Framework

Every analysis on this site is built on the Global Trade & Industry Attributes System (GTIAS) — a standardised scoring framework that makes industries comparable across sectors, geographies, and time.

GTIAS defines 81 attributes, each scored 0–5, organised into 11 strategic pillars. Industries are then classified into one of 7 operational archetypes that define how value is created and how risk accumulates.

The result is a consistent scoring language that lets you compare a fintech firm to a food manufacturer — and understand exactly where they diverge.

How content is created

Industry profiles are AI-assisted and built to a structured specification, not prose-first summaries. Each profile follows a defined generation pipeline grounded in authoritative data sources.

Primary data sources

  • ISIC Rev. 4 — international industry classification
  • UN Comtrade & World Bank — trade flows and economic indicators
  • ISO, Codex Alimentarius, national regulators — standards and compliance
  • Academic literature and industry association reports

Important: AI analysis accelerates coverage and standardises format, but it can introduce errors. Profiles are validated structurally but are not a substitute for domain expert judgment. See our full methodology for limitations.

1

Structured data collection

Each industry is mapped to its ISIC classification, trade codes, and regulatory context before any scoring begins.

2

AI-assisted scoring

All 81 GTIAS attributes are scored using structured prompts against the source data, with rationale text for each score.

3

Validation and cross-referencing

Automated structural checks verify completeness and score ranges. Scores are compared against peer industries to flag anomalies before publishing.
